Are On The Day entries allowed. | No. |
Are there any discounts available? | Yes, as well as a £2 discount available to runners who are affiliated to running clubs, a Club "Bulk Entrant Discount" is, for the first time, available this year. This is a further £1 reduction in the entrance fee, per runner, for clubs entering 25 or more runners. The reduction will be applied retrospectively via your club's committee. |
Are Dogs Allowed on the run? | No, there are far too many hazards to permit this. |
What running shoes do I need for this course? |
We would recommend trail running shoes, however this has to be your own decision.The toughest part of the course is probably the beach assent. This may have lose stones |
Is water to be issued to runners? | Yes, there will be a water station during the run located in the meadow at the bottom of Cow Hill. To be more environmentally responsible, it will be in paper cups. Bottles are available at the end of the run. |
Is First Aid available during the run? | Yes, Medics will be attending the run. Acute Medics will be providing this service for us. |
Where are the toilets? | Toilet facilities are located within the Car Park. Other facilities exist in the town. For example the far end of the High Street. |
What is the minimum age of competitors? | Competitors must have had their 15th birthday by the day of the race. |
Where can I park? | The Run Committee encourages participants and spectators to journey by Eco friendly means. Railway, Bus or Electric Vehicle for examples. Parking is available throughout the town for free. NB: the town hall car park will be closed. Spaces in the train station car park are available. |
In what order will runners be released? | The fastest self-declared runners will start first. this ensures that overtaking is kept to a minimum due to the narrow course. Runners may be dispatched in threes every 15 seconds or so. |
Can I use running poles? | Yes, running poles are allowed. |
Where can I see the run? | The run is across publicly accessible land. The coastal path section is a particularly good location to view from, if you feel like a good walk too. The run passes though the town and toasting the runners with an early half pint in the square is an option to be considered. Use the MAP page to identify a spot suitable for yourself. |
Where is the Bag Drop? | The Bag Drop is upstairs inside the town hall. |
Does the run have a Risk Assessment document? | Yes. The document is located here => Risk Assessment. |
Is there any type of catering available? | At the event start/finish in the car park there will be a coffee vendor and cakes available for purchase. |
I'm have booked a place but am now unable to take part. What happens? | I'm afraid we are offering no deferral. No refunds are available. Sorry. However transfer to another runner is permitted, should it not be too close to the event. Friday 20th at 18:00 is the cut off time |
Where does the run start from? | This year's event is starting from the Town Hall Car Park CF61 1SD. For this reason, it is closed to vehicles on the day. |
