This year we are running the 1km, children's race in memory of Dave Foster.

Dave Foster as a Councillor in Llantwit Major was instrumental in pushing for grants to expand the appeal of the original concept of the 10k run. With his and the grants' help, the event has expanded and, last year, as you know, we staged for the first time, a 1km children's race. He believed that it was important Llantwit Major events are made available to as many as people as want them, young and old. He also gave his time every year to be an event marshal.
